CONDITION

Good pre-owned condition with light signs of age and handling. Please review photographs for details. This copy shows significant age and handling wear. The red cloth has fading, scuffs and soiling, with fraying at the corners and spine ends, including pronounced fraying at the upper spine. The pages are toned with scattered spotting and marks, and the visible hinge area shows wear. Binding strength and completeness beyond the pictured pages have not been tested.

STYLE NOTES

Shelve it among other early Wells novels, where its weathered red cloth will look entirely at home.

FROM THE HOUSE

Wells wrote about time travel; this copy has simply done it the slow way.

A useful thing should still have manners. ~ Maxwell
