2012 Coach Ashley F20346 Metallic Silver Croc Embossed Leather Satchel

DESCRIPTION

A striking 2012 Coach Ashley satchel in deeply embossed metallic silver leather — one of the more glamorous treatments of Coach's substantial Ashley silhouette.

The leather is worked in an irregular crocodile pattern and finished in luminous silver, shifting between pewter, platinum and brighter flashes of metallic depending upon the light. The pronounced embossing gives the finish considerably more depth than a smooth metallic leather.

The structured body is finished with polished silver-tone hardware, dual rolled handles and a detachable longer strap for shoulder wear. Inside, the cool metallic exterior gives way to an unexpectedly feminine pale pink fabric lining with practical zip and multifunction pockets.

Originally retailing for approximately $398, the F20346 Ashley was offered in Coach's embossed croc leather in several colors, including this silver/grey treatment.

A particularly good example of early-2010s Coach: substantial leather, unapologetic texture and just enough metallic shine to make an otherwise practical satchel rather less sensible.

Coach took the substantial Ashley silhouette, covered it in deeply embossed crocodile leather and finished the entire affair in metallic silver. More than a decade later, it has exactly the sort of excessive early-2010s glamour that has become interesting again.
