DESCRIPTION

A distinctive 2009 Coach Horse & Carriage hobo in black sateen, covered in the house's wonderfully playful equestrian print of horses, carriages, sweeping Coach script and Est. 1941 lettering.

Rather than the familiar repeating Signature C, this design turns Coach's heritage imagery into an oversized graphic pattern across the softly pleated hobo silhouette. Black leather trim and a substantial leather shoulder strap frame the printed body, while crisp contrast stitching and polished silver-tone hardware sharpen the otherwise relaxed shape.

The interior opens to a pale pink lining — a wonderfully unexpected contrast against the black exterior — with practical pockets for everyday organization.

This is one of those Coach designs whose appeal is increasingly about the specific discontinued print, rather than simply the logo on the creed.

FROM THE HOUSE

Coach's Horse & Carriage print has rather more personality than the ubiquitous Signature C.

Here, carriages, horses and great loops of script wander across black sateen in an almost illustrated toile, softened into the easy shape of a slouchy hobo and unexpectedly finished with pale pink inside.

A particularly good piece of late-2000s Coach — recognizable, but not ordinary.
