DESCRIPTION

A beautifully embellished Indian shagun envelope in rich burnt orange, decorated with elaborate gold-tone embroidery, beadwork and a jeweled floral motif.

The front is centered with an ornate teardrop-shaped design worked in metallic thread, beads and clear rhinestones, surrounded by scrolling gold foliage and delicate scattered accents. A beaded border finishes the envelope-style flap, while the warm orange ground gives the gold work wonderful depth.

Traditionally used to present money or a monetary gift during weddings and other celebratory occasions, this is far lovelier than an ordinary gift envelope and makes the presentation itself part of the occasion.
