DESCRIPTION

A wonderfully romantic 1990s RZN cocktail ring by Roizin Jewelry Company, crafted in 925 sterling silver with a warm gold-tone wash and centered by a remarkable dusty-rose faceted stone.

The large rectangular center stone shifts beautifully with the light — moving through muted rose, blush, champagne and soft cognac tones — and is held high in an architectural four-prong setting. Two smaller coordinating stones flank the center to create a traditional three-stone, or trilogy, arrangement.

Along the shoulders, petite clear pavé-set stones provide another line of sparkle before the setting resolves into the slender polished band.

It is an unusually sophisticated color combination: rose and warm gold without becoming overly sweet, with enough scale to make this a proper cocktail ring.

WORTH NOTING

The interior is hallmarked RZN 925.

RZN was the registered jewelry trademark of Roizin Jewelry Company of New York, with documented first commercial use in 1990. The company's RZN trademark specifically covered jewelry including rings.

The 925 mark identifies the underlying metal as sterling silver.

The colored and clear stones have not been independently gemologically tested. They are consistent in appearance with cubic zirconia jewelry, but we have intentionally not represented them as natural gemstones.

FROM THE HOUSE

Dusty rose is one of those colors that becomes considerably more interesting when it refuses to decide precisely what it is.

In one light the center appears pink; in another, champagne or warm cognac. Set against softly golden sterling and flanked by two smaller stones, it gives the traditional trilogy ring a rather lovely late-twentieth-century glamour.
