1970s Woven Rattan Serving Tray Hand Painted Tropical Floral Inlay 13 Inch

DESCRIPTION

A wonderfully atmospheric vintage rattan serving tray, combining tightly woven dark-brown cane with a dramatic hand-painted floral center in warm, earthy color.

The round tray is framed by a deep woven gallery with two gracefully arched handles, surrounding a dark lacquered center painted with oversized tropical blooms in rust, coral, olive and forest green. The rich palette and natural woven texture give the piece a distinctly collected, resort-era character.

At approximately thirteen inches across, it is equally suited to cocktails, coffee or a small arrangement of glassware.

WORTH NOTING

The painted center is the star of this piece, with large radiating flowers worked in beautifully muted shades of rust, olive, green and coral against a nearly black ground.

The tightly woven rim and integrated handles make the tray functional as well as decorative.

Approximately 13 inches in diameter with a rim approximately 2.5 inches high.
