Vintage 1980s Gold Tone Equestrian Horse Head Bypass Bangle Bracelet Green Crystal Eyes
DESCRIPTION
A wonderfully sculptural vintage equestrian bangle, designed with opposing gold-tone horse heads joined through a dimensional center ring. Each horse is beautifully modeled with textured mane and facial detailing, finished with striking faceted green crystal eyes that give the bracelet considerably more presence than its scale might suggest.
The substantial construction, dimensional casting and original-style safety chain give this piece the look and feel of better vintage designer costume jewelry. No maker's signature was located, so we are offering it on the strength of the piece itself rather than making an unsupported attribution.
WORTH NOTING
An unusually handsome equestrian design with richly textured horse heads, vivid green eyes, a bypass-style silhouette and slender safety chain. At approximately 33 grams, it has a satisfying weight in the hand and does not present like lightweight novelty jewelry.
MEASUREMENTS
Interior approximately 2.25–2.5 inches across. Horse head approximately 1.25 inches. Band approximately .4 inch wide. Weight approximately 33 grams.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear. Please review photographs closely for the gold-tone finish, textured details, green eyes and safety chain, as they form part of the condition description.
STYLE NOTES
A marvelous piece for an equestrian jewelry collection, particularly beautiful worn alone where the sculptural horse heads can take center stage. It would also make a distinctive gift for a rider, horsewoman or collector of vintage figural jewelry.
