Heidi Daus Multicolor Crystal Half Hoop Clip-On Earrings Antiqued Gold

DESCRIPTION

A richly jeweled pair of Heidi Daus half-hoop earrings, built in the designer's wonderfully substantial style with rows of faceted crystals set against antiqued gold-tone metal.

The color palette is particularly sophisticated: deep garnet, amber, smoky topaz, olive and darker earth tones arranged in narrow bands across the curved face. A central row of rectangular baguette-cut crystals adds an architectural line through the otherwise densely jeweled design.

Their rounded half-hoop construction gives them considerable dimension from the side, while the antiqued setting darkens the spaces between the stones and makes the warmer crystal colors appear almost illuminated.

Despite their compact scale, these are unmistakably statement earrings—the sort of Heidi Daus piece that does quite a lot of work without requiring a necklace.

Heidi Daus continues to produce substantial crystal half-hoop earrings in both clip and omega-back constructions; comparable current designs measure approximately 3/4" to 1-1/2" depending upon the model.

Heidi Daus has never been particularly interested in timid jewelry.

These little hoops manage to pack garnet, amber, smoke and olive into barely an inch of space, with darkened gold between the stones giving them the appearance of something considerably older and grander.

Small enough for dinner. Jeweled enough that no one will mistake them for sensible.
