1960s Swank Genuine Jade Cufflinks & Tie Bar Set Gold Tone Original Box
DESCRIPTION
A handsome mid-century gentleman's set by Swank, pairing genuine green jade with warm gold-tone settings in a classic cufflink and tie bar ensemble.
Each round jade cabochon has wonderfully individual mottling in deep green, soft celadon and cream, framed by a finely textured rope-style gold-tone bezel. The matching tie bar repeats the jade and rope detail for a beautifully coordinated presentation.
Presented in its original Swank fitted box with satin-lined lid and its Genuine Jade identification, this is an especially lovely survivor from the golden age of American men's accessories.
WORTH NOTING
The original presentation box and Genuine Jade identification remain with the set. Swank was one of America's best-known makers of mid-century men's jewelry and accessories, and the rounded toggle construction is consistent with post-1955 production.
The natural variation within the jade gives each stone its own character rather than the uniform appearance of simulated material.
MEASUREMENTS
Cufflinks approximately .75 inch across. Tie bar approximately 2 inches long. Please see photographs with measuring tools for additional scale.
CONDITION
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, most noticeable to the tie bar. The jade remains attractive and the original fitted Swank presentation box shows expected evidence of age and storage. Please review photographs closely as part of the condition description.
STYLE NOTES
Proper mid-century dressing—the sort of small detail that once finished a gentleman's shirt and tie rather than merely accessorizing it. The rich green jade against gold tone works particularly well with navy, charcoal, brown and traditional white shirting.
